Job Summary

Lead balancing and reverse-engineering activities for rotating equipment, combining hands-on technical work with functional people management. Key Responsibilities

•Manage and execute balancing projects for rotating equipment, providing overall direction to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
•Independently perform low-speed and high-speed balancing, including runout, vibration analysis, and trim balancing for pumps, turbines, generators, compressors, motors, blowers, and similar machinery.
•Lead on-site setup, assembly, commissioning, and coordination for mobile rotor lathes and in-situ machining activities, ensuring safe and aligned execution.
•Plan and direct operational/outage activities, manage project financial performance against budget, and maintain reports, registers, and comprehensive documentation.
•Provide guidance and coordination across customers and internal/external stakeholders; oversee QA procedures, warranty and issue management, and support SAP/IMS and information security implementation.

Key Requirements

•Mechanical Eng NVQ with stress analysis and bearing design, or pump design specializations, or equivalent through demonstrable OEM/market experience.
•Minimum 15 years’ experience in pump/rotating equipment service and repair, including low- and high-speed balancing, with outage management experience in the power, water, or desalination sector.
•Knowledge of lathes, milling, boring, dynamic balancing, and API/BS ISO specifications.
•Expert-level capability with mobile lathes, 3D scanners, Faro Arm, laser tracker operations, and CAD/drawing software.
•Ability to independently perform balancing and runout jobs and produce comprehensive technical reports on balancing and dimensional/tolerance results.
