Key Responsibilities

  • •Ship search improvements that developers notice, turning research and ranking improvements into live product changes including API, docs, and examples
  • •Own the search API end-to-end, including response format, latency, error handling, pagination, and filtering
  • •Dogfood relentlessly by building with the API before shipping and reviewing feedback from issues and discussions
  • •Translate research into product decisions by collaborating with RL and IR engineers to prioritize features and expose useful capabilities
  • •Run fast product experiments by forming hypotheses, shipping, measuring, and iterating based on imperfect data

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years in applied RL, ML engineering, or model training — with production systems
