Key Responsibilities

  • •Directly supervise, lead, and manage the HSSO team, including task assignment, daily direction, training, and performance management.
  • •Oversee site access control, security surveillance, visitor management, and first-aid service delivery.
  • •Guide operational departments and contractors in applying site risk management protocols, including risk assessments aligned to ISO 45001.
  • •Ensure first aid and emergency response readiness, including clinical hygiene standards and inspection of the Emergency Transport Vehicle and first aid clinic(s).
  • •Lead health and safety inspections/audits, support incident investigations using ICAM, and coordinate injury management and return-to-work plans.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 122,400 - 129,200 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced First Aid certification (Advanced First Aid required).
  • •Professional health and safety qualifications (CRSP, CRST, CSP, etc.) are desirable.
  • •Proven experience in surface mining operations and supervising teams.
  • •Demonstrated experience working with regulators, insurers, and injury management processes.
  • •Valid Class 5/7N British Columbia driver’s license with access to personal transportation.
