Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and drive the full product lifecycle of high-frequency (30 GHz+) mmWave IC transceivers and components for 5G/6G communications, aerospace radar, and automotive sensors.
  • •Tackle key technical challenges including parasitic extraction, thermal management, and high-frequency electromagnetic modeling.
  • •Develop custom RF building blocks including power amplifiers (PAs), low noise amplifiers (LNAs), mixers, and voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs).
  • •Design RF Tx/Rx signal chains and RF PLLs, including Sigma-Delta and FRAC-N PLLs, while addressing phase noise/spurious signals and settling time.
  • •Use standard EDA and EM tools and perform lab characterization with high-frequency equipment to validate designs.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of industrial experience taking RF/mmWave designs from conception through tape-out to final lab validation.
  • •Deep expertise in designing custom RF blocks including power amplifiers (PAs), low noise amplifiers (LNAs), mixers, and voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs).
  • •Deep expertise in RF Tx/Rx signal chain design covering noise, figure, linearity dynamic range, and power efficiency, including RF PLL design (Sigma-Delta and FRAC-N PLL).
  • •Proficiency with RF transceiver architectures (direct-conversion topologies, phased-array systems) and signal chain analysis using figures of merit such as ACPR, EVM, and BER.
  • •Hands-on experience with advanced nodes using RF SOI process technology and extensive lab characterization using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and probe stations.
