Job Summary

Support AECOM’s Buildings + Places Sustainability team in Melbourne by contributing to sustainability-focused workstreams and deliverables across a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure projects. Help plan, coordinate, and deliver key tasks while collaborating with internal teams and client-facing stakeholders. Build real-world experience through mentorship during a 12-week paid summer internship and gain exposure to iconic Australia and New Zealand projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to ambitious sustainability outcomes across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects.
•Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of sustainability-focused workstreams and key deliverables.
•Collaborate and communicate with internal teams and client-facing stakeholders.
•Act as a connector to support coordination between teams involved in project sustainability efforts.
•Develop skills through mentorship while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Key Requirements

•You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Sustainability, the Built Environment, or another relevant discipline.
•Able to work full-time hours from mid-November 2026 to mid-February 2027.
•Candidates must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible to obtain the required Defence Security Clearance for this role.
•Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
•Adaptability, commitment to professionalism, and integrity.
