Job Summary

Plan, design, and manage electric distribution projects for circuits 15kV and below, including system planning, circuit analysis, and remediation planning. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customer facilities, and help enable renewable energy integration (25kW–5MW). Partner with customers and contractors to address requests, prepare load analyses for substations and feeders, and work in regional systems (e.g., MAXIMO, MV90, EADMS) with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform system planning and circuit analysis for distribution circuits 15kV and below and develop remediation plans as needed.
•Complete project engineering and project management for designs, cost estimates, and construction of electric distribution facilities 69kV and below.
•Provide engineering assistance and technical support to field engineering representatives; conduct power quality/troubleshooting analysis.
•Facilitate renewable energy resource installations (25kW to 5MW), performing engineering analysis for integration into the distribution system.
•Conduct customer-facing engineering work, including assessing impacts of additional loads, securing permits/rights-of-way, and performing post-construction follow-up.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred; other engineering disciplines acceptable) from an accredited college or university, required.
•Completion of power-related courses in college is preferred.
•E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) certification or P.E. (Professional Engineer) registration is preferred.
•Electrical engineering experience and project management experience are preferred, but recent graduates will be considered.
•Ability to perform system planning, circuit analysis, and engineering/design work for electric distribution facilities.
