Key Responsibilities

  • •Research and map ETI opportunities across Asia Pacific and Australia, aligning origination to ETI strategy.
  • •Build and maintain relationships with ETI market participants and use HSBC’s wider network to progress transactions.
  • •Lead and coordinate diligence and execution workstreams, including managing advisers, Q&A processes, and deliverables.
  • •Develop and review cash flow models and investment analysis to support investment decisions, financing, and exit planning.
  • •Prepare internal papers for governance and approvals, and provide active oversight of counterparties/portfolio companies including monitoring and follow-on support.

  • •Relevant sector experience in energy, infrastructure and/or renewables from investment management, investment banking, advisory, legal, or principal investing environments.
  • •Strong Asia Pacific ETI market knowledge, including demonstrated understanding of the Australian market, regulatory environment, and key participants.
  • •Established regional network across ETI stakeholders, with the ability to originate and progress transactions.
  • •Advanced financial modelling and investment analysis skills, including cash flow modelling, valuation, and assessing investment terms and key risks.
  • •Ability to run multi-party diligence/execution processes, negotiate commercial terms, and produce clear approval materials.
