Job Summary

Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles and construction/heavy equipment, completing wiring, ignition system swaps, and communication integration. Diagnose and resolve installation problems across basic to complex scenarios (including CAN network access). Work in the Eldon, MO area and travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards as needed, occasionally on nights and weekends. Represent the EquipmentShare platform and brand while in the field.

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Operate machinery during installation for testing, and remove/replace ignition systems and integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
•Handle a range of installation scenarios, from basic power/ignition/ground to complex custom wiring harnesses for CAN network access.
•Identify and resolve installation problems by gathering/analyzing information and developing alternative solutions when needed.
•Travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards in the region for installation cases, and serve as an advocate for the EquipmentShare platform and brand while in the field.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude with good hand skills and working knowledge of tools; own tools is required.
•Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer) and/or mobile electronics/automotive electronics installation.
•Ability to drive and travel within a 250-mile radius for up to a week at a time, and perform physical tasks including lifting 25+ lb.
•Proficiency with iPhone/mobile phone technology and basic computer navigation; able to pass a background check and a 10-panel drug screen.
