Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently handle a caseload from start to finish.
  • •Review documents and prepare draft advice to clients, including bespoke coverage advice.
  • •Support the full litigation process, analyzing coverage, liability, quantum, and strategy.
  • •Conduct legal research and document searches, and prepare first draft instructions to counsel and experts.
  • •Draft applications and court proceedings and engage in settlement negotiations, roundtable discussions, and ADR (for cases managed independently).

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified Solicitor or FILEX (Legal Qualification: Solicitor/FILEX).
  • •Previous defendant property insurance litigation experience, ideally within Construction background.
  • •Thorough understanding of the disputes and claims handled by the department and the insurer client.
  • •Familiarity with product liability, breach of contract, negligence, property law, and insurance coverage issues.
  • •Experience dealing with challenging customers.
