Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced mechanical systems for wireline and perforating technologies. Serve as a hands-on technical leader driving mechanical integrity through modeling, simulation, design reviews, testing protocols, and failure investigations. Partner with multidisciplinary teams across materials science, ballistics, electronics, and manufacturing to deliver reliable, commercially viable solutions while meeting Halliburton reliability, quality, and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead mechanical design and development projects for perforating system hardware from concept through qualification and commercialization.
•Apply advanced engineering analysis, modeling, and simulation to ensure mechanical integrity under extreme downhole conditions.
•Conduct and oversee design reviews, tolerance analysis, testing protocols, and failure investigations to improve product reliability.
•Define and document engineering requirements, test plans, and validation reports using statistical and reliability-based methods.
•Develop and execute complex test plans, including pre-test reviews, tool layouts, and safety assessments; conduct ballistic, functional, mechanical, pressure, and temperature testing in controlled environments.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
•Minimum four (4) years of related R&D or product design experience; Master’s plus two (2) or more years of relevant experience also considered.
•Proven expertise in mechanical system design, analysis, and validation, preferably for downhole, high-pressure, or high-temperature environments.
•Proficiency with CAD and simulation software (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS or equivalent) and experience with mechanical testing instrumentation.
•Strong understanding of reliability engineering, materials performance, and integrated system design.
