Job Summary

Lead cost management and quantity surveying activities for MEP projects supporting major health clients across public and private sectors. Manage and delegate tasks across feasibility estimates, cost planning, tender documentation and evaluation, value engineering, and post-contract management. Advise on technical issues, ensure safe delivery, drive performance standards, and collaborate with the MEP supply chain while using digital tools to deliver cost management services.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage and delegate cost consultant team activities including feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, and tender evaluation.
•Apply value engineering and commercial awareness across project delivery, supporting fee generation and dispute resolution.
•Advise subordinates on technical issues and ensure roles and responsibilities are clear by briefing the team on project scope.
•Drive performance standards through expert communication and the performance management process.
•Manage and regulate service delivery to achieve excellence while promoting a safe and secure environment.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services in the MEP space.
•Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) and degree or HNC level qualification.
•Experience delivering MEP elements of work for clients, including tender evaluation and value engineering.
•Ability to manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
•Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below), using digital software for cost management delivery.
