Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as primary executive liaison and trusted advisor to high-profile journalists, hosts, and creative contributors to cultivate career pathways and retention strategies.
  • •Design and lead a discovery strategy across broadcast, podcasting, newsletters, social ecosystems, and independent journalism to build a diverse ongoing talent pipeline.
  • •Act as central connector between creative talent, talent representatives, and internal teams to align individual goals with organizational priorities.
  • •Oversee talent agreement frameworks, including contract renewals, compensation structures, and rights agreements with Legal and People teams.
  • •Partner with Content Insights and leadership to evaluate audience trends and identify future talent requirements across emerging platforms, embedding DEI in talent workstreams.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of progressive executive leadership in talent management, talent relations, media recruiting, or creative talent strategy within news, podcasting, digital media, or broadcast entertainment.
  • •Demonstrated, active network of professional relationships with journalists, creators, literary and talent agencies, management firms, and digital-first storytellers.
  • •Proven track record structuring and negotiating complex, multi-party talent contracts, IP rights, and compensation agreements.
  • •Demonstrated success building and sustaining diverse, multi-perspective talent rosters for cross-generational and culturally diverse audiences.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent practical work experience).
