Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage consumer NPI mechanical/thermal component qualification, manufacturing technology management, and mass production readiness.
  • •Represent Operations in early product life cycle and provide manufacturability, quality, cost, and yield impact information to design, sourcing, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • •Ensure clear product specifications (CMF, cosmetic spec, 2D drawing, reliability requirements) and support manufacturability feasibility analysis with risk mitigation.
  • •Lead suppliers to establish efficient fabrication process flow and drive solutions to issues affecting mass production.
  • •Use SPC data to drive yield and efficiency improvement actions, monitor production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (M.S. preferred) and 3+ years of consumer product design experience.
  • •In-depth knowledge of industrial design decoration manufacturing technology capability, material selection, and tooling/mold technologies.
  • •Hands-on proficiency in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to provide data-driven product design suggestions.
  • •Ability to analyze problems from multiple perspectives and apply practical knowledge of system assembly, system testing, and tolerance capability.
  • •Working knowledge of modern mechanical design tools, preferably Creo or SolidWorks, plus familiarity with testing and inspection methods.
