Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform composite bodywork (sanding, filling, fairing, contouring) on carbon fiber/epoxy airframe surfaces to meet aerodynamic and LO signature requirements.
  • •Apply aerodynamic fillers, gap fillers, and seam sealants to maintain LO surface continuity at panel interfaces, structural joints, and fastener locations.
  • •Fit, trim, and install composite panels, access covers, and LO-critical fairings to engineering tolerances for flush interfaces.
  • •Fabricate minor composite repair patches/shims using wet layup, pre-preg, or paste adhesive systems, then sand/contour/blend to match OML geometry.
  • •Prepare for LO coatings (surface preparation and masking layouts) and support LO paint spray operations, including material handling and hand-application of LO edge treatments and localized primer/coatings.
