Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain a reliable, resilient, multi-cloud network that connects MongoDB services globally
  • •Collaborate with service-owning teams to provide internal support and best practices for service-to-service connectivity
  • •Lead and participate in on-call rotations to rapidly resolve network architecture issues and ensure high availability
  • •Contribute to the design and implementation of networking infrastructure, including service mesh and edge load balancing
  • •Drive automation and improvements to reduce manual operations and improve efficiency

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience working on software and operating distributed systems with deep networking fundamentals (TCP/IP including IPv6, DNS, TLS/mTLS, BGP, tunnels, overlays, SDN)
  • •customer-focused mindset with a bias toward end-user improvements
  • •strong emphasis on automation and reducing manual ops work
  • •familiarity with modern cloud-based infrastructure and network primitives from AWS, Azure, or GCP (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, peering, private link/connect, CDNs)
  • •strong knowledge of service mesh and load-balancing in a multi-cloud environment
