Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain a reliable, resilient, multi-cloud network that connects MongoDB services globally
•Collaborate with service-owning teams to provide internal support and best practices for service-to-service connectivity
•Lead and participate in on-call rotations to rapidly resolve network architecture issues and ensure high availability
•Contribute to the design and implementation of networking infrastructure, including service mesh and edge load balancing
•Drive automation and improvements to reduce manual operations and improve efficiency

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience working on software and operating distributed systems with deep networking fundamentals (TCP/IP including IPv6, DNS, TLS/mTLS, BGP, tunnels, overlays, SDN)
•customer-focused mindset with a bias toward end-user improvements
•strong emphasis on automation and reducing manual ops work
•familiarity with modern cloud-based infrastructure and network primitives from AWS, Azure, or GCP (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, peering, private link/connect, CDNs)
•strong knowledge of service mesh and load-balancing in a multi-cloud environment
