As a founding Motion Designer at Wordsmith, you will own video and motion across the product and brand. You’ll create launch videos, product storytelling, and social assets, building a scalable motion system while collaborating with Design, Growth, Product Marketing, and Founders to rapidly bring ideas to life with high craft and AI-enabled processes.

Key Responsibilities

•Create launch videos, feature announcements, and product animations
•Turn abstract workflows into clear visual stories that land quickly
•Build a motion system of templates, transitions, components, and export standards
•Produce social content, event openers, conference loops, and sales enablement assets
•Partner with writers, designers, and producers from concept to final delivery

Key Requirements

•3+ years of motion design experience, ideally in-house at a product or technology company
•Strong reel of shipped work you can talk through clearly
•Excellent taste and high standards for craft
•Strong narrative instincts — you can simplify dense ideas visually
•Ownership mindset — you’re comfortable building a function, not just executing briefs
