Job Summary

Collect and test samples from incoming feed ingredients and finished feed to confirm compliance with quality specifications. Enter and maintain analysis records in databases to support FDA and FSMA requirements and SF/SF certification needs. Support internal and third-party audits, manage out-of-spec investigations and recalls, coordinate sample shipments to external labs, and train employees on quality sampling and documentation. Ensure safety and maintain related QA procedures and pesticide programs.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect samples from incoming feed ingredients and perform analyses to confirm compliance with quality specifications; report non-compliant ingredients.
•Enter and maintain analysis data and records in databases; communicate concerns with trends to nutritionist and mill leadership.
•Maintain FDA/FSMA compliance by following and revising QA Manual and SOP procedures as necessary.
•Conduct internal quality audits and participate in third-party, customer, and internal audits; collect and ship samples to external laboratories.
•Monitor ingredient usage (including drug and micro inventories), manage out-of-spec investigations, perform recalls when required, and train employees on quality policies and documentation.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Two (2) years of feed mill experience in a similar environment.
•Strong math skills.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internal database software.
•Good verbal and written communication skills to work across all levels; ability to handle and resolve most issues efficiently.
