Key Responsibilities

  • •Transport goods and freight using a truck or tractor-trailer, ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery from consignees.
  • •Complete pre/post trip inspections and inspect loads to confirm cargo is properly loaded and secured; use straps/load locks when needed.
  • •Plan routes, fueling locations, safe havens, breaks, and deliveries; comply with traffic laws, FMCSR hours-of-service rules, and weather/road condition adjustments.
  • •Use onboard TMS/dispatch systems and complete electronic DVIR via ELD; submit daily trip sheets and weekly documentation (e.g., lumper and fuel receipts).
  • •Support onsite warehouse functions by loading/unloading trailers (hand/fork truck/pallet jack), assisting with inventory counts/cycle counts, and traveling between company warehouses for support.

Key Requirements

  • •Possess a valid Class A CDL and a current non-expired Class A CDL/Valid DOT Medical Certification.
  • •1 year of verifiable comparable driving experience within the last 3 years pulling 53ft trailers, and meet DOT physical qualification under 391.41.
  • •Ability to complete pre/post trip inspections and perform electronic DVIR via ELD for deficiencies found.
  • •Ability to safely operate a fork-lift in high traffic, low clearance areas and climb ladders/steps safely.
  • •Ability to use TMS/WMS/ELD systems and read Standard English text for requirements.
