Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide daily legal advice to asset management and project development teams for operational and under-construction projects.
  • •Draft, review, and negotiate post-closing contracts and advise on legal, regulatory, compliance, and contract/claims matters, including managing pre-dispute matters.
  • •Lead legal due diligence for acquisitions, disposals, and joint-venture projects and negotiate key commercial agreements (SPA, APA, EPC, O&M, PPA, land lease).
  • •Advise on project finance (non-recourse/limited-recourse) and corporate finance transactions, coordinating with external counsel and advisers on financing documentation and security packages.
  • •Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements (energy policies, grid connection rules, environmental permits, local content), manage license/land approvals, and handle or supervise litigation, arbitration, and administrative disputes.

Key Requirements

  • •Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) from a recognized university, with admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s).
  • •Minimum 8–10 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years focused on renewable energy, power trading, infrastructure, or natural resources.
  • •Proven track record in cross-border M&A, project finance, and large-scale contract negotiation.
  • •Deep understanding of power market regulations, carbon credits, and environmental compliance.
  • •Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
