Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling directly to adults, children, and youth of service members, including assessment, brief counseling, referral, and follow-up.
  • •Deliver training and health and wellness presentations; participate in health fairs and base/installation activities.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application and ensure reporting accuracy while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of clients.
  • •Support staff and personnel of DoDEA schools, community schools, youth programs, and summer camps; provide parent training and guidance.
  • •Establish and maintain relationships with community resources; collaborate with POC to provide Adult and CYB services and respond to emergent situations.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field, or social work.
  • •Current licensure at the independent level in any state as a Mental Health Counselor, Therapist, or Social Worker.
  • •Ability to prove US Citizenship and fluent in English.
  • •Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
  • •Experience with military culture and familiarity with DoD/DoDEA contexts.
