Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop concept designs of mechanical sub-systems that meet customer requirements, reliability and robustness requirements, manufacturing processes and safety guidelines
  • •Collaborate with engineers to generate overall design concept for mechanical subsystem architecture and detailed designs including injection molding plastics, die casting, sheet metal stamping, elastomers, and rigid/flexible PCBs
  • •Set up and maintain bills of materials and release mechanical prints
  • •Support prototype/pilot builds on the manufacturing site
  • •Perform mechanical verification tests per product specifications and generate test reports

Key Requirements

  • •A Bachelor Degree or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
  • •Minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field with demonstrated experience in product design of electronic enclosures
  • •Experience in 3D CAD modeling, generating 2D drawings per mechanical drafting standards
  • •Experience with various manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, metal casting and stamping, rubber/elastomers and rigid/flexible printed circuit board assemblies
  • •Strong familiarity with PTC Creo 3D modeling and surfacing software, or equivalent, to design components and assemblies
