Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end design for one or more Defense products, including research, interaction and visual design, prototyping, and shipped UI.
  • •Be the voice of the operator through primary research, ride-alongs, and exercises with warfighters and partners.
  • •Design real-time edge interfaces and enterprise tools that support autonomy build, simulate, validate, and ship workflows.
  • •Define trust models for agentic autonomy, including approval and escalation patterns that keep humans meaningfully on the loop.
  • •Extend and unify the Defense design system across real-time and enterprise workflows, and represent design in demos and program reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of product design experience across at least two meaningfully different environments.
  • •Track record shipping products end to end, from research through launch and iteration, including hard calls on what not to build.
  • •Strong research instincts and the ability to learn a new domain from scratch and turn findings into design direction.
  • •A portfolio demonstrating judgment in information density, decision UI, and multi-user workflows.
  • •Comfort learning and designing for technically complex systems, with strong engineer collaboration and clear communication.
