Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and end-to-end regression suites, using TypeScript and Playwright with AI-driven code generation.
  • •Write validation automation following Fowler’s Testing Pyramid to test backend APIs and integration layers reliably.
  • •Contribute to swarm testing by expanding coverage of edge cases, error conditions, and happy paths, and guide automated testability best practices.
  • •Independently diagnose and isolate test and platform defects by analyzing distributed system logs, API console data, and Datadog monitoring signals.
  • •Partner with Engineering and QA in Agile sprints, participate in peer code reviews, and help define QA expectations, runbooks, and coverage ownership.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of professional experience in software test automation, systems validation, or backend engineering in a SaaS environment.
  • •Strong programming experience using TypeScript (or a comparable scripting language) with automated testing frameworks.
  • •Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Claude Code) as part of normal workflows.
  • •Deep understanding of Fowler’s Testing Pyramid, plus proficiency writing API tests, functional end-to-end tests, and performance tests.
  • •Experience coaching or upskilling less-automation-savvy testers or engineers.
