Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in a PhD research project on agentic AI-driven autonomous battery disassembly.
  • •Build and extend robotic simulation environments in MuJoCo.
  • •Develop scripted demonstrations from SAP ERP product knowledge (bills of materials, production routings, component specifications).
  • •Support the training pipeline for robot learning policies using the LeRobot framework on a dedicated GPU server.
  • •Collaborate with KIT’s Intuitive Robots Lab and work directly with the PhD researcher in an applied research setting.

Key Requirements

  • •Be a student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences.
  • •Preferred fields: computer science, robotics, mechatronics, or information systems.
  • •Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
  • •Experience or strong interest in robot simulation (MuJoCo preferred) and/or robot learning frameworks such as LeRobot or OpenVLA.
  • •Fluent English required (German is a plus).
