Join TRM Labs as a Global Investigator on the Sextortion/Global Investigations team. You will lead OSINT-driven investigations, trace financial channels across payment apps, gift cards, and crypto, expand reports into broader networks, produce actionable targeting packages for law-enforcement and platform takedowns, and support victim safety in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Lead OSINT-driven investigations into sextortion actors, identifying aliases, personas, infrastructure, social-media footprints, communication channels, bait packs and reused imagery, and links across victims and campaigns
•Follow the money across payment rails (Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay), gift cards, and crypto-enabled flows, drafting and acting on legal processes
•Pivot on selectors (handle, phone number, email, username, image, domain, account, cryptocurrency address) to expand a single report into a broader network
•Produce actionable targeting packages that connect OSINT findings, financial evidence, and victim reporting to identify responsible actors and networks for law-enforcement action and platform takedowns
•Validate time-sensitive victim and infrastructure signals and move high-confidence matters through escalation with an emphasis on speed and accuracy

Key Requirements

•Law-enforcement experience (current, former, or retired) including sworn officers or investigators, with cybercrime/digital-investigations exposure
•OSINT investigations background with demonstrated experience identifying online actors, aliases, accounts, infrastructure, and operational networks
•Financial-investigations experience across payment methods (payment apps, gift cards, crypto) and ability to follow funds and develop leads
•Sextortion or victim-centered cybercrime investigation experience with sensitivity and urgency
•Legal-process familiarity (preservation requests, subpoenas, 2703(d) orders) and ability to move from selector to investigative lead
