Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, evaluate, and secure new third-party reinsurance opportunities with external cedants.
  • •Assess, price, and structure proportional and excess-of-loss treaty programs for Trade Credit, Surety, and Specialty Credit risks.
  • •Contribute to the strategic roadmap, risk appetite, and underwriting guidelines for the third-party book.
  • •Build and maintain relationships with cedants, brokers, and market intermediaries, positioning the business as a reliable reinsurance partner.
  • •Monitor portfolio performance, conduct regular reviews, and recommend corrective actions while collaborating with Actuarial, Risk, Finance, Claims, and Allianz Re teams.

Key Requirements

  • •10–15+ years of reinsurance underwriting experience, including strong expertise in Trade Credit and/or Surety.
  • •Proven track record building external/third-party reinsurance business, with solid treaty underwriting experience (proportional and non-proportional).
  • •University degree in Finance, Economics, Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • •Strong underwriting of trade credit and surety exposures with solid understanding of reinsurance structuring, pricing, and capital considerations.
  • •Ability to combine data-driven analysis with expert judgment, with strong communication and influencing skills in an international matrix environment.
