Lead and coordinate the Regional Field Medical Science Liaison (MSL) West team, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to provide medical and scientific information and advance therapeutic disease-state knowledge. Own execution of territory medical plans, scientific presentations, conference attendance, and KOL/healthcare provider interactions. Recruit, train, develop, and manage field MSLs while cultivating academic and clinical collaborations; report within Medical Affairs leadership and travel extensively across the West.

Key Responsibilities

•Recruit, train, develop, and manage a team of field MSLs
•Provide strategic direction for MSL development and execution of territory medical plans
•Ensure high-quality presentations and interactions using quantitative and qualitative MSL data tracking
•Deliver internal training and communication, including KOL and site profiling and education internally and externally
•Serve as a balanced medical information resource for HCPs, lead issues management, and support investigator/research project identification

Travel: Extensive travel

Salary: USD 265,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•MD, PhD, PharmD, Genetic Counseling, or other advanced healthcare degree
•3+ years in medical affairs or field medical experience with a track record of high performance
•2+ years of people management experience and exceptional leadership skills
•Ability to create and sustain relationships with industry leaders and participate in scientific dialogue with KOLs and researchers
•Knowledge of clinical research and the pharmaceutical product development and approval process (rare disease/cardiology/neurology preferred)
