Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide human monitoring and operate ITS devices and other traffic control equipment, taking actions per SOP guidance.
  • •Coordinate traffic incident management responses for roadway concerns and dispatch maintenance crews for snow/ice events.
  • •Enter and maintain database records for incidents, special events, roadway concerns, and call logs; assist with traffic data collection and troubleshooting.
  • •Support NYSDOT by identifying, troubleshooting, and documenting device failures, establishing repair priorities, and issuing work orders.
  • •Answer phone inquiries, respond to TMC/ITS operational requests, perform ITS software backups, archive data, and generate reports.

Key Requirements
