Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and report on seismic activity and provide guidance to mine operations as needed.
  • •Review plans and apply rock mechanics expertise to underground mine engineering designs.
  • •Lead and assist ground support, modeling, and planning projects while ensuring adherence to the site ground control management plan.
  • •Monitor ground support quality control, including backfill QC tests (cylinders/UCS) and shotcrete program oversight.
  • •Install, maintain, read, and interpret geotechnical instrument monitoring systems and prepare monthly reports and presentations for management.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline; preference for a Geotechnical Engineering degree.
  • •Experience in the mining, metallurgy, or mineral processing industry (or similar relevant experience).
  • •Ability to work and communicate with other members of the work team.
  • •Willingness to comply with all company policies and procedures.
