Job Summary

Lead production employees on the front lines to meet production targets on time and to the highest quality standards. Oversee the full production process, including yield tracking and real-time adjustments, while ensuring safety and compliance with USDA health standards and HACCP requirements. Drive operational efficiency by analyzing yields, efficiencies, and variances, and support continuous improvement through daily floor leadership, training, and equipment maintenance coordination.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform daily production floor inspections, identify unsafe conditions, and take immediate corrective action.
•Lead safety audits and ensure adherence to HACCP and USDA regulations, including ergonomic initiatives.
•Maintain product quality by enforcing Food Safety and Food Quality plans and training employees on safe operating procedures (including lock-out/tag-out).
•Track and analyze production yields, efficiencies, and variances; improve workflows and equipment use to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
•Direct hourly production employees, lead monthly line meetings, walk the production floor daily, and analyze key performance metrics for continuous improvement.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
•Experience leading by training, coaching, mentoring less experienced staff, or managing a process or project.
•Strong oral and written communication skills, with analytical and math abilities to lead problem-solving for complex process issues.
•Ability to motivate, train, and coach employees to achieve peak performance while fostering a positive, respectful, team-oriented environment.
•Adaptable to fast-paced environments, able to work varying conditions (heat and cold), and willing to work long hours and weekends when needed.
