Job Summary

Design and enhance firmware subsystems by analyzing product architecture and determining the required coding, programming, and integration work. Write and execute testing plans, protocols, and documentation while debugging and creating solutions for integration issues. Lead a team of firmware engineers and coordinate with internal and outsourced partners across complex development phases, representing the firmware engineering team and mentoring less-experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

•Design enhancement, updates, and programming changes for firmware portions and subsystems.
•Analyze design to determine coding, programming, and integration activities based on overall product/solution architecture.
•Write and execute testing plans, protocols, and documentation; debug and resolve code and integration issues.
•Lead a project team of firmware engineers and internal/outsourced partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions for assigned systems portions.
•Collaborate with management and partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution; provide guidance and mentoring.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
•Typically 10+ years of experience.
•Expertise in multiple firmware design tools and languages.
•Experience designing firmware, including interaction and integration with hardware design.
•Experience with firmware testing methodology, including writing/executing test plans and debugging.
