Key Responsibilities

•Own technical strategy for key FSI customers in Japan, defining the target architecture and roadmap for their Databricks lakehouse and AI platform.
•Lead high-impact evaluations and designs for priority FSI use cases (e.g., fraud/AML, risk, regulatory reporting, SIEM, Hyper Personalization, trading and investment analytics).
•Connect architecture to outcomes, showing how Databricks reduces risk, improves efficiency, and unlocks new revenue, then drive broader expansion.
•Shape the ecosystem, working closely with cloud providers, global/local SIs, and fintech partners to deliver end-to-end solutions on Databricks.
•Raise the bar regionally, mentoring other Solutions Architects and contributing reusable reference architectures, patterns, and customer stories for Japan FSI.

Key Requirements

•10+ years in data platforms, analytics, or cloud architecture
•6+ years working with large Financial Services institutions in Japan
•Ability to influence C-level and director-level stakeholders and lead high-stakes technical discussions in Japanese
•Deep hands-on background in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing/Analytics, AI/ML, or Cloud Architecture with a strong architecture/platform focus
•Experience designing data and analytics solutions for FSI use cases (e.g., risk, fraud/AML, regulatory reporting, SIEM, customer analytics, or trading/investment)
