Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the creation and maintenance of technical manuals and SOPs for drilling rigs, loaders, and trucks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
  • •Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, project offices, field service) to acquire, refine, and validate content for publication.
  • •Manage and optimize content management systems and technical writing tools to enable modular content creation and single-sourcing.
  • •Drive continuous improvement to innovate technical communication methods, reduce translation costs, simplify content, and enhance documentation quality and customer experience.
  • •Recruit, develop, and manage a technical writing team, including coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, and monitoring team metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • •Minimum of 12 years of industrial experience in mining, earthmoving, drilling equipment, or off-road vehicle sectors.
  • •Extensive experience in structured authoring, modular content development, and enterprise-level content management systems for single-source publishing.
  • •Expertise in technical documentation methodologies such as topic-based authoring, minimalism, DITA standards, and XML authoring tools (e.g., XMetaL or Oxygen).
  • •Strong technical documentation tooling knowledge including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), Teamcenter, and Schema ST4, plus familiarity with Simplified Technical English.
