Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete design and development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging formats using packaging materials such as flexible films, rigid plastics, barrier technologies, and fiber.
  • •Lead technical problem-solving for packaging projects using DOE, statistical analysis, and structured root-cause investigations to validate and troubleshoot new technologies.
  • •Own all phases of packaging commercialization, including material selection, spec creation, trials, lab testing, shelf-life work, and iterative development in lab and production environments.
  • •Translate technical research findings and trial data into clear business cases and documented test reports for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • •Manage multiple concurrent assignments by prioritizing business initiatives and supporting prototyping development for consumer testing, pilot line setup, and scale-up.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 3 years, or a PhD with 2 years of relevant CPG experience.
  • •Proven ability to solve complex primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging challenges across innovation, sustainability, and cost optimization.
  • •Expertise using Designs of Experiment (DOE), statistical analysis, and structured root-cause investigations to evaluate, validate, and troubleshoot new technologies.
  • •Thorough understanding of commercialization processes, including feasibility screenings, risk identification, and working through manufacturing line constraints.
  • •Proficiency maintaining packaging specification systems such as PLM and SAP to ensure data quality and accuracy.
