Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage a caseload of complex property claims, including analyzing coverage and potential legal liability.
  • •Investigate claim damages by researching information from insured, third parties, and external resources.
  • •Identify coverage concerns, review prior loss history, and create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate.
  • •Determine and negotiate complex claims settlements within authority limits and collaborate for amounts outside authority limits.
  • •Maintain accurate, current claim file documentation and support CAT response operations, including on-call duties and travel for inspections/claims.

Key Requirements

  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience handling moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools/platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50–75% of the year and acquire/maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days (3 attempts).
