Key Responsibilities

  • •Fog hatcher halls and setter halls 1, 2, and 3, plus the embrex room, clean box room, pull room, and processing room.
  • •Clean and sanitize the box room and chick room, and clean the chick counter.
  • •Perform laundry as part of sanitation duties.
  • •Go through customer chicks as assigned.
  • •Complete additional sanitation tasks (e.g., cleaning and refilling bootwash areas, breakroom cleaning, and observing automatic formaldehyde dispensing into hatchers) as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).
  • •Must be willing to shower, change clothing and footwear before entering the biosecure facility.
  • •Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species and to sign and abide by the company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines.
  • •Must be able to perform physical requirements, including safe lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds at times, and pushing/pulling heavy setter buggies.
  • •Must comply with required PPE and safety policies (including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO, and PPE).
