Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform Technician 1 utility classification duties, including service construction and repair work.
  • •Execute leak and meter orders; inspect meter manifolds and inside service piping for leaks.
  • •Operate and make minor adjustments on trenching and mechanical equipment (e.g., trencher, tractor compressor).
  • •Install and adjust domestic and commercial appliances, including space heating units and gas-fired air conditioning gas portions.
  • •Keep accurate records of new construction and repair work; support safe trench bracing/barricading and lead small crews when required.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 24 - 47.88 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • •Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (eight points or less).
  • •Pass DOT Drug Test, DOT Physical, respirator fit test, required testing, required training, and background check.
  • •Obtain or possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) with Air Brake Endorsement; obtain a Temporary Permit if needed during pre-hire.
  • •Be certified to wear self-contained breathing apparatus and be able to work odd shifts, on-call, emergencies, and overtime; lift and move equipment (~95 lbs).
