Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialist technical support for operation, maintenance, configuration, and testing of Hobart Class Destroyer combat systems and equipment.
  • •Contribute to combat system readiness including Undersea Warfare (USW) and Electronics Warfare (EW) systems.
  • •Ensure systems are available, correctly configured, and capable of supporting commissioning, trials, defect resolution, and operational activities.
  • •Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and apply diagnostic skills to identify, investigate, and resolve equipment/system issues.
  • •Interpret technical drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals, and test procedures to diagnose faults, determine root causes, and implement solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Essential Cert III or above in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • •Demonstrated fault finding and troubleshooting of electronic equipment.
  • •Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on complex integrated combat systems.
  • •Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals, and test procedures.
  • •Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required Defence security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) and meet ITAR clearing eligibility requirements.
Education:Certification / Diploma in Electronics Engineering (Cert III or above)
