Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the evaluation, approval, and quality assurance of materials used in roads, transportation, bridges, tunnels, pavements, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure.
  • •Review and approve material submittals, technical specifications, mix designs, and testing reports from consultants and contractors.
  • •Develop and implement materials QA/QC procedures and monitor compliance with project specifications and international/municipal requirements.
  • •Conduct site inspections and audits, review laboratory and field test results, and recommend corrective and preventive actions for non-conforming materials.
  • •Support project teams through planning/design/procurement/construction handover stages, including tender evaluations, review of method statements and ITPs, and technical recommendations for claims/disputes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline.
  • •Minimum 8–12 years of relevant materials engineering experience in infrastructure projects such as roads, transportation, or municipal engineering.
  • •Minimum 5 years in a senior engineering or technical leadership role.
  • •Experience with roadworks, asphalt pavements, concrete structures, stormwater systems, and utility infrastructure, including material testing and field quality control programs.
  • •Advanced knowledge of construction materials and testing methodologies and familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, BS EN, and ISO.
