Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in drawing up research strategy for a specific industry sector under a Research Leader.
  • •Support production of industry/corporate reports and research outputs to improve long-term profitability.
  • •Assess industry rationale and provide risk/return analysis for corporate transactions using sector expertise and financial/statistical models.
  • •Support the bank’s marketing effort by identifying potential customers and supporting development of new products/services.
  • •Protect the bank’s asset portfolio via watch list systems, daily news monitoring, and inputs to monthly credit monitoring; also drive adoption of new technologies such as AI and alternative data analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (2.1 or above) from a top institution, with most staff having an additional finance or related qualification.
  • •Knowledge of industry/credit analysis frameworks and the ability to cover a secondary industry at short notice.
  • •Excellent financial statement analysis skills, accounting/reporting standards knowledge, and financial modeling skills.
  • •Ability to influence senior management decision making through strong interpersonal skills.
