Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair major vehicle systems (electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, engines gas/diesel, transmissions, clutches, differentials) using test instruments and road testing.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to determine malfunctions, then generate and evaluate repair alternatives using sound judgment.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, ensuring periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain compliance and documentation: operate and maintain the service vehicle (safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections) and accurately complete DOT forms and Repair Orders using the company iOS device and TRAIT app.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination (including additional certification beyond HS/GED) or 5 years’ experience.
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply the set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •OEM training and certifications are preferred; participate in and complete all required company training.
  • •Must be at least 21, hold a valid driver’s license, and successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical; a current DOT medical card may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical depending on remaining validity.
