Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support settlement negotiations for complex product liability, mass tort, toxic tort, and consumer product litigation matters.
  • •Develop settlement structures and eligibility criteria and serve as primary legal and operations lead to ensure efficient, accurate execution in line with legal requirements.
  • •Negotiate, draft, review, and finalize settlement-related documents; resolve claimant disputes or appeals in coordination with plaintiffs’ counsel.
  • •Manage teams of nurse paralegals and other attorneys to review and assess incoming claim qualification and categorization.
  • •Oversee settlement implementation and claims administration, including workflow/quality assurance and data analysis across claims, trends, and settlement outcomes.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,000 - 350,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • •Be active and in good standing with the local state Bar, or be eligible to waive in.
  • •Minimum of 8 years of substantive legal experience focused on mass torts in the drug, medical device, and/or consumer products areas, including at least three years of litigation practice.
  • •Claims resolution experience, preferably involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health/consumer-facing products.
  • •Familiarity with matter management systems and claims administration/AI-enabled claim review platforms; experience drafting/reviewing/negotiating settlement documents and settlement contracting principles.
