Job Summary

Lead and advise on reservoir simulation studies for unconventional resources, applying fracture, PVT and compositional modeling, history matching and predictive analyses. Provide technical mentorship, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and represent Saudi Aramco in external technical contexts to optimize field development and hydrocarbon recovery.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and participate in integrated reservoir simulation studies, including data analysis, model construction, history matching, calibration and prediction.
•Act as technical advisor to management regarding best practices for reservoir simulation and modeling topics, particularly for unconventional resources simulation challenges.
•Apply special simulation modeling techniques such as fracture modeling, compositional, PVT modeling, coupling surface and sub-surface modeling, and complex well and smart completions.
•Study and propose alternatives to optimize field development and maximize hydrocarbon recovery from new and mature fields.
•Provide expert mentoring, training and teach in-house technical courses to develop young engineers and represent Saudi Aramco in external technical contacts with consultants and vendors.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from a recognized and approved program.
•15 years of experience in reservoir simulation in both conventional and unconventional fields.
•Training history of specialized courses and seminars is expected.
•Technical publications and in-depth practical experience are paramount.
•Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and to communicate ideas clearly with specialists in reservoir characterization, geologic modeling, petrophysical evaluation, core analysis, reservoir management, and production engineering.
