Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere strictly to Metals Recycling Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
  • •Inspect scrap metal shipments for specification conformance and absence of environmental hazards per scrap acceptance policy.
  • •Correctly identify and record inspection data such as weight, grade, content, and quantity.
  • •Notify operations and commercial supervisors of inspection problems and assist with remedial procedures.
  • •Support internal control responsibilities and report equipment deficiencies, noncompliance, or policy violations upward.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred.
  • •Ability to develop and maintain constructive, cooperative working relationships with customers and other employees.
  • •Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently and perform frequent standing/walking on uneven ground.
  • •Ability to work independently with attention to detail and continuous awareness.
  • •Ability to wear required PPE (safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, face shields) and comply with H&S standards.
