Job Summary

Develop supply chain management requirements and evaluate supplier product designs to improve product quality and mitigate product failure risks. Perform engineering analysis of defective items and assess customer feedback to identify supplier quality issues. Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to recommend and implement product/process changes that reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs. Manage global supplier relationships and represent the procurement engineering team across complex development and manufacturing phases.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage aspects of the global engineering relationship with a key external hardware/components/materials/services supplier.
•Develop supply chain management requirements to support various markets.
•Review and evaluate supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards.
•Perform engineering analysis of defective product units/sub-assemblies and identify supplier quality issues using customer feedback and quality processes.
•Participate in business reviews and communicate product/process analysis to stakeholders to recommend and implement changes that reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.

Key Requirements

•Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience.
•Typically 4-7 years of work experience.
•Experience in sourcing, supplier relationship management, compliance, and/or quality assurance.
•Experience performing project management, compliance, or quality assurance work in a related field.
•Experience with supplier product design/process evaluation and supplier quality issue identification.
