Key Responsibilities

  • •Support business development through proposal development, project planning, internal audit project execution, and issue validation.
  • •Conduct internal audit risk assessment and planning by researching client background and risks, leading risk assessment, and preparing internal audit plans and kickoff meetings.
  • •Execute internal audit plans by interviewing senior management, overseeing engagement teams day to day, guiding junior team members, reviewing work papers, and preparing kickoff and exit meetings.
  • •Manage end-to-end internal audit engagement economics including scope, engagement progress, budget vs. actual, risks and issues, and billing.
  • •Prepare draft reports, wrap up internal audit work, and develop relationships with client personnel and internal teams across service lines; contribute to thought leadership materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 7 years of experience with internal audit and AML, BSA, OFAC compliance in a big public accounting/consulting firm, regulatory environment, or the banking sector.
  • •Strong knowledge of IIA Standards, auditing standards and procedures, and relevant financial services laws, rules, and regulations.
  • •Broad abilities in process and controls and risk assessment.
  • •Extensive experience developing and implementing internal audit programs across financial, operational, technology, and compliance audits, including managing co-sourcing/outsourcing engagements and using advanced technology/AI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Enterprise ChatGPT, copilot).
