Key Responsibilities

  • •Prioritize personal safety and the safety of coworkers while following state and federal environmental regulations.
  • •Follow LYB procedures, standards, and specifications during daily operations.
  • •Make rounds, assist with taking readings, and monitor day-to-day unit operations.
  • •Learn health, safety, and environmental hazards and witness the work permit system.
  • •Engage in frequent developmental discussions, train in the area of assignment, and support the operations team.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Maintain a 3.0+ GPA on a 4.0 scale throughout the apprenticeship.
  • •Complete at least 30 credit hours of relevant technology coursework and register for the internship college course at your home college.
  • •Be willing and able to work outside year-round and handle rotating 12-hour shifts (nights, weekends, and some holidays) with overtime coverage.
  • •Be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship and be able to perform physical work (including climbing, confined space work, and lifting 55 lbs).
