Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the highest-level technical expert for the product line, consulting across the organization on innovation, new product introduction, and technical issues.
  • •Drive innovative, next-generation products and concepts, feeding innovation funnels and product roadmaps.
  • •Lead feasibility studies, supervise product line file maintenance (UL/CSA files), and ensure compliance to applicable standards.
  • •Manage VN resolution for product-line-related plants and drive action on third-party proposals that could impact products.
  • •Ensure tests are conducted safely, monitor relevant codes and standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to complete solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years of product design experience in power distribution equipment with expertise conforming to UL standards (e.g., UL 50, UL 67, UL 891).
  • •Proficiency in engineering software/tools, including AutoCAD and Enovia.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Ability to ensure product compliance to UL/CSA and manage related approvals and file maintenance.
  • •Good verbal and written communication skills with analytical problem-solving and collaboration across a dispersed, matrix environment.
