Job Summary

Design, build, and continuously improve secure infrastructure on AWS to support Chromatic’s elastic browser rendering grid and millions of daily snapshots. Own security posture across access controls, secrets management, vulnerability triage, and audit logging. Work with product and engineering teams to bake security into developer tooling and CI/CD, and respond to incidents during the on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and continuously improve security posture, including access controls, secrets management, vulnerability triage, and audit logging.
•Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform for millions of browser sessions daily.
•Partner with product and engineering teams to assess infrastructure needs and conduct security reviews for tooling and CI/CD.
•Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to incidents and drive mitigation through resolution.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 155,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years deploying and operating containerized applications in AWS.
•5+ years hands-on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using Terraform.
•Intermediate networking knowledge: firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPC architecture/peering, and zero-trust access (Tailscale).
•Intermediate cloud security knowledge: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, API authentication, audit logging, network segmentation, and vulnerability triage.
•Hands-on CI/CD experience (CircleCI, GitHub Actions) plus containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools.
