Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialized input to electrical studies and EI&C designs, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and system modeling using ETAP or EasyPower.
  • •Lead the design and development of electrical power and distribution systems, low-voltage systems (fire alarm, telecom, security), and EI&C components for municipal and industrial projects.
  • •Conduct detailed electrical analyses (power flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection/coordination, harmonics) and prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
  • •Deliver EI&C engineering for water/wastewater and municipal projects across Western Canada, working independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
  • •Provide discipline leadership on small to mid-sized projects to ensure code/standard compliance, QA/QC procedures, and client requirements; support estimating, budgeting, scheduling input, and field reviews during construction.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •6+ years of water/wastewater industry and engineering design experience in multi-disciplinary electrical, instrumentation & control environments.
  • •Registered Professional in Canada (EGBC preferred).
  • •Experience in electrical design and commissioning, including electrical distribution, DCS/PLC control systems, variable speed drives, and instrumentation & control for municipal or light industrial environments.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or other design tools (AutoCAD P&IDs/Electrical, REVIT MEP) and familiarity with Canadian codes/standards for building and fire/communication systems.
